Open Windows Terminal in the current folder
Launch a terminal pre-positioned in whatever folder you are working in.
01Command
$ wt -d .02What it does
The wt.exe launcher accepts -d to set the starting directory, and . means the folder you are in now, so no manual cd afterwards. This works in Command Prompt and PowerShell alike, and you can pass any path, e.g. wt -d C:\Projects. For the reverse direction, typing the folder name in File Explorer's address bar opens it, or type cmd / PowerShell in the address bar to open a console pinned to that folder. On Windows 10, Windows Terminal may need to be installed from the Microsoft Store first.
